A large specimen of sphene on calcite and albite, the centerpiece being this super-sharp, lustrous sphene twin. The color is a beautiful deep, bright green. Several other sphene crystals are scattered around the matrix of small albite and large translucent calcite crystals, a few of which have a dusting of sparkling greenish-black chlorite. A superb specimen.

Sphene and Adularia twin on Muscovite

A yellow-green cluster of sphene crystals on a matrix of adularia and small, lustrous muscovite. Perched aesthetically above the sphene is a remarkably symmetrical 3.5x2cm white adularia twin. Chlorite coating on some of the adularia matrix adds to the "classic Alpine" appearance of the specimen.

Matrix of calcite and albite hosting a very nice 1x1x2.5 cm twinned sphene crystal. Three smaller single sphenes surround the main crystal, and there is one smaller twin that is covered with chlorite.

Dozens of bright yellow-green sphene crystals, many twinned, up to 1.5 cm cover the calcite crystal matrix on this specimen. The back side shows clusters of pinkish clusters of small calcite rhombs.
