Aquamarine from Pakistan

Pakistan has produced the world's finest and most abundant aquamarine beryl for many years now. The mines are located high in the Himalayas, in the Baltistan region of the ancient Northern Areas of Pakistan. The collecting season is short, and access to many of the pegmatites is dangerous even under the best weather conditions.
